Veteran indicator
A veteran may choose to have a “veteran indicator” placed on his/her driver’s license or identification card. To obtain the indicator, the applicant must present proof of discharge or separation, other than a dishonorable discharge, from the armed forces of the United States. If the indicator is added to a new issuance or a renewal transaction of a driver’s license or identification card, there is no charge. If the indicator is added to an unexpired driver’s license or identification card outside of a renewal transaction, there will be a $10.50 charge to produce the new card.
Visit the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs for additional information regarding veteran benefits and services.
